But for some unknown reason, Elvis's words reminded Bartlett of the neurotic Old Phil and the strange creature he kept that may or may not have been a cat, named 'Hourglass'.
Bartlett still remembered the last time he visited Old Phil, who had made him a mysterious soup, claiming that it would protect him from 'butterfly scales' when entering 'Butterfly's Territory'.
The old man's crazy words seemed to make sense. If the butterfly did indeed represent the devil, Bartlett hoped that the strange soup could help him resist the 'scales' in their territory.
But no matter how true this situation was, it was beyond Bartlett's control.
