After the soup was ready, Old Phil brought a bowl of bizarre soup directly to Bartlett without asking him any questions. "What brings you here, stinky cat? I don't remember sending my nephew to look for you guys. The town has been quiet lately, and the butterflies and bees have returned to their nests. Just a few mischievous kids tried to sneak into my house, but I hit their heads with tomatoes. There was blood all over the place, or maybe it was just tomato juice."
After he finished speaking, Old Phil served himself another bowl of the thick soup, cut a few slices of dried whole wheat bread, and sat opposite Bartlett. "Drink up, the cat capturing the butterfly; I added a lot of stuff specially for you, especially the 'Hourglass' part." He used the spoon to point at the black cat napping in the middle of the dining table.
