The elderly giant troll named 'Gregory' squatted on the ground, his head hung low, his hands holding the so-called treasure map, presenting it to Bartlett. "Some heroes are destined to be remembered by the world and their tales passed on through generations." It spoke with solemnity, "They will overcome vexing difficulties and dangers, eradicate fearsome monsters and beasts, decipher unknown puzzles and riddles, and ultimately find these forgotten treasures. This too, is the destiny, is the destiny's task bestowed upon them."
It must be said, the old troll was eloquent, but Bartlett wasn't impressed.
"Destiny arranges for me to spend 100 gold coins, to buy a meaningless piece of sheepskin paper?" The barbarian scoffed, "Such a destiny is rather stupid."
