Bartlett smashed his way through the window and entered the bedroom.
The shattered glass glittered around the Barbarian in the moonlight, and several shards even scratched his cheek directly. Crimson blood seeped out from the wound, and tiny droplets of blood followed the glass splatters into the air. But the Barbarian didn't care.
As he was in mid-air, he quickly and calmly surveyed the situation within the room.
The bedroom was relatively empty, save for a wooden bed that had been moved and propped against the wall. In the center of the room stood a young man in pajamas with a pale face. The young man, who looked like Xavier, widened his eyes in shock as he saw Bartlett flying in mid-air, his eyes filled with disbelief.
In front of the young man was a magical array etched into the ground. A slightly uncomfortable dark red light lit up on the array. It didn't seem to be drawn with Magic Ink, nor were there any blue magic crystals embedded on it.
