As night fell, the clouds covered the waning moon, and the bustling small town had lulled into complete silence, resembling an eerily peaceful atmosphere that unconsciously reminded our Barbarian Adventurer of the death-filled Bellmourne Town.
However, even on the quietest of nights, the key difference in lively towns from those filled with the dead is that there is still life. Once in a while, a baby's cry would echo from a distant, unknown location, followed by the barking of some dogs and loud scolding. The barking would spread further and further like ripples on a calm lake, gradually dissipating into the distance before finally subsiding.
