After dinner, Bartlett led a few members of the 'Helpful Hand' Adventure Squad down the underground passage in the house of the Grey Dwarf village chief, heading towards the exotic species village square.
By habit and convenience, the squares and shops in the Grey Dwarf village were all built underground. Its magnificent subterranean part was the true face of the 'Strong Liquor Cellar'.
The bald Grey Dwarf village chief did not accompany Bartlett and the others. He said he wanted to take advantage of the cool darkness outside to continue tending to his precious tobacco plants.
Although it was pitch black outside, the 'dark vision' talent possessed by the underground races allowed them to move about easily in pure darkness.
