Sneaking was not Bartlett's strong suit, yet fortunately, in this remote corner of the town, the number of undead was relatively scarce.
He moved stealthily through the winding alleys, snapping the neck of a curious zombie that had poked its head out of a window; leaping over a pile of collapsed ruins, he cut down two corpse eater ghouls that were fighting over the broken bodies atop the wreckage; then, he climbed a low, weathered wall, stomping on a white skeleton standing idly below it, seemingly lost in thoughts about its existence...
Bartlett's "sneaking" journey was quite effective, as he quickly silenced the undead along the way without causing a large-scale commotion or attracting any trouble that would be difficult to handle.
A building resembling a church along the way caught his eye, and Bartlett paused to look at it, wondering, "Does this town still worship some kind of divine being?" He then shrugged and pushed the thought to the back of his mind.
