On the smooth road, Bartlett was riding Carrot at high speed, with the cold wind howling by his ears and the pine trees on both sides whizzing past.
'Carrot' was the name of his young horse, but Bartlett didn't really want to call it that. In fact, he originally wanted to give the horse a more impressive name, such as 'Flame Hoofs'. If it really had the bloodline of a Nightmare Beast, as the merchant who sold it said, then 'Flame Hoofs' would undoubtedly be a good name.
Perhaps in the Nightmare Beast family, 'Flame Hoofs' is a common name, just like Andrew or George, but it is at least much better than 'Carrot'. However, it's a pity that this greedy, ill-tempered stallion never responded to this good name.
Apart from that, Bartlett also gave it several other names like 'Wind Chaser', 'Courage', 'Hawk Falcon', and even 'Half-Blood', but no matter which name he called it, the four-legged companion always ignored him as if he was just farting, without any reaction.
