What to say?
First and foremost, I'm incredibly grateful for the support of all of you who've shown love for this book. It's truly my greatest honor. Your support means the world to me, and it's like a sea breeze that keeps this book sailing forward!
I have so many thank-you's to say, but I worry that saying them all would come across as selfish or insincere. So, I'll share something else instead.
I'm a conflicted person, and quite slow at writing. I always hope to capture the essence of a true western fantasy, so before starting each chapter, I watch American TV shows and read western novels to find that feeling. Sometimes I get so absorbed in searching that I lift my head and realize several hours have passed...
In this book, I try to avoid Chinese idioms and proverbs, as they all have their historical backgrounds. For example, "围魏救赵" (encircle Wei to save Zhao) can simply and clearly express an idea, but it feels out of place in this book because there's no Wei or Zhao here.
