After filling his stomach, Bartlett took a hot bath and lay refreshingly on the inn's bed. The pure cotton bedding was incredibly soft, with simple, rustic blue stripes. On the windowsill was a pot of redwood bonsai and a candle holder with a cod-shaped candle.
On the bedside cabinet was an ugly lizard statue, with a fierce expression on its face, mouth wide open. However, the sharp teeth in its mouth had been broken off by someone, making its threatening action somewhat humorous.
On the wall opposite was a colourful watercolour painting. The pattern on the painting was a Griffin soaring against the wind, and on the Griffin's back sat a young man wearing a crown. Bartlett recognized him as the third king of the Griffin Kingdom - the King of Moon and Sun. Despite being the king for only a day, he was forever remembered by the people.
