Bartlett walked in Pig Bay.
He walked between two houses leaning against each other, pushed away a drunkard who tried to kiss him, and grabbed a handful of raspberries in front of a grocery store, ignoring the stall owner's angry shouts (the stall owner owed Bartlett money). Adventurers occasionally greeted Bartlett along the way, and he usually just nodded, sometimes stopping to chat briefly with a few familiar adventurers.
After avoiding another chicken running to its freedom and the middle-aged woman chasing after it, and passing a rutabaga-laden carriage stuck in mud, Bartlett stopped in front of a blacksmith's shop. He greeted the blacksmith, who was smoking and idle, then drew his sword from his waist and handed it to the blacksmith.
An adventurer next to the blacksmith's shop came up to Bartlett and teased, "You actually made it back alive again! I knew that the Foggy Forest girl must have a thing for you!"
