Bartlett and his companions were currently traveling in the Foggy Forest, in an area called the 'Furry Carpet'.
The feeling of stepping on this unique sky-blue moss was really good. Their surface was slightly rough and not as slippery as ordinary moss, providing good friction for the soles of their boots. Walking on it felt like stepping on a thick woolen carpet - soft and energy-saving.
It has to be said that compared to another name, 'Furry Carpet' is indeed exceptionally apt.
The scenery here was dull and monotonous, with nothing but the soft sky-blue moss in sight. Bartlett felt that even the ubiquitous pale gray mist in the forest seemed much thinner here, but he didn't know if it was just an illusion.
Although the scenery was monotonous, the journey was not boring. They talked about women, about the 'charming girls', about Walker Wood, and about his famous blue potions and the nine volumes of his books.
