The parchment attached to the head of the Frost Insects depicted a four-winged moth. The forewings were brown with blue star-shaped patterns, and the rear wings were blue with brown spiral-shaped patterns. Each wing had an orange-yellow circle, burning like a flame, appearing both beautiful and dazzling.
This secret pattern should belong to a female mage. Bartlett stood next to Old Will and looked at the parchment above the Frost Insects' heads, irresponsibly guessing in his mind. He thought that men would not have the patience to design such a complex pattern.
However, if the subject was a mage, Bartlett was a little unsure whether there might be effeminate mages in the group who liked such intricate and dazzling patterns. He frowned secretly.
Bartlett had also seen Old Will's secret pattern. In order to avoid getting lost by accident, Old Will had left many of his secret patterns on the trunks of fir trees seen everywhere along the way to serve as road markers.
