By the bonfire, Bartlett stared intently at the Semi-body Statue. With the previous experiences, he was now more skilled at it. Staring unwavering at something did look a bit silly, and even eerie, but luckily no one else was around to watch him at this time.
When Bartlett had gone on adventures before, he had met a fellow adventurer who could actually sleep with his eyes open. When the Barbarian first discovered this, he was quite shocked by his companion's strange state.
But as he spent more time with that companion and gradually got used to it, the eerie feeling never disappeared but grew stronger. To the point where later, when the companion's neck was bitten off by a wild beast, Bartlett, looking at the corpse with wide round eyes, felt as if he was still alive.
