Most of the residential houses in Hot Springs Village were stone houses, greatly different from the neatly arranged brick and wood houses in Carano. Bartlett noticed that many of the buildings in the village were very old and dilapidated. Even though hundreds of years have passed, collapsed houses have been rebuilt, and abandoned city walls have been converted into cowsheds, Bartlett could still see the traces of the war left on the charred stone walls.
The brutal wars of the chaotic era did not completely destroy this place. At least some of the buildings that existed before the empire still stand tall.
Hannah randomly picked a light pink camellia grown by a villager nearby and put the flower on her head. "How do I look?" she asked Bartlett.
