Inside the metal fence, Bartlett held his weapon, adjusting his breath.
Looking through the gaps in the fence, outside was a gladiatorial arena covered with yellow sand. The stands were more than half full, and most of the spectators were various shapes of purgatory creatures.
"Do you remember the rules clearly? Human." The Thorn Devil behind him whispered.
Bartlett nodded, "Such simple rules, even Goblins can understand."
This was a thirty-person deadly melee. As long as there were only three living creatures left on the field, the slaughter could be declared over. The survivors would receive a period of rest before the next melee began.
