After some idle chatter and consideration, Bartlett picked out a piece of sheepskin paper from the stack. "I've decided to choose this one," he told the defense officer and then stood up to return the remaining task sheepskin papers to him.
"Let me see which one you chose so I can register it." Defense officer Julian looked at the one in Bartlett's hand. "Go to St. Nino in the Holy Kingdom of Alaso to investigate a devil worship incident. Oh? You chose this one? That's unexpected. I thought you would choose one or both of the two missions to hunt otherworldly creatures. I got the feeling you're good at those kinds of missions."
"If it was any other time, I indeed would choose the two hunting missions," Bartlett replied. "I enjoy hunting monsters, whether they belong to our Prime Material Plane or come from other alternate planes. But it's winter now, and after reading the introductions of those two otherworldly creatures, I feel they aren't quite suitable for me."
