He was traveling through this vast Realm of Darkness when he unexpectedly encountered a tall tower, and the owner of this tower turned out to be the previous owner of the Dragon Bone Ring he was wearing. All of this was just too coincidental, causing Bartlett to develop some wild speculations and doubts.
According to his understanding and inference, the subsequent development should be that the tower master, after writing in his diary, happily rode his Bone Dragon to show off at his friend's place, but inadvertently encountered Mage John Devine and his abomination servant Gerard on the way.
