Crossing the first spinal thorn, Bartlett, with the Little Ghost who was still not satisfied after listening to the story, headed toward the region of the fourth spinal thorn where Storm Dwarf Calvin was located.
On the way, Little Ghost kept chattering and asking various questions, all about the story the zombie Bard had told her. "Why would the giant dragon like the princess, Uncle Tall? This story is not quite like the ones I've heard before." The little guy floated in front of Bartlett, facing away from the direction they were moving, and gracefully moved backward.
"What do you think the giant dragon went to the trouble of capturing the princess for, but didn't just eat her? It must have had some purpose in doing so. What that purpose is, to me, 'liking' is not an impossible explanation, and even quite possible." Bartlett casually replied, "So, it's quite normal."
