The reason Bartlett ended up in that remote corner of Trileaf City and found this mage named 'Alvin' was entirely thanks to the guidance of the dwarf mage, Theodore Goldbright.
"I left my hometown thirty years ago, left behind the fiery currant bushes scattered around the city. I embarked on a journey, traveled far and wide, on this treasure seeking adventure." The dwarf mage spoke as such, "I lived in Trileaf City alone for several years. Let me think, at least five years, yes, at least. I visited nearly all the villages and towns surrounding the city, and even if I didn't, I would have heard of them, but I have never heard of a place called 'Ram's Horn Town.'"
The words spoken by the dwarf mage at that time left Bartlett bewildered. When the barbarian adventurer asked if other locals might know the specifics of that town, Theodore Goldbright shook his head and recommended this mage named Alvin.
