At the top of the spiral tower sat a large decaying castle surrounded by thick blackened walls with the entrance guarded by massive stone statues of monsters all wearing armor, swords, and shields that seemed to be glowing with purple energy. An enormous stone gargoyle sits in front of the castle. It had its back facing the entrance, its legs stretched out menacingly.
Inside it was cavernous like the inside of a cave with huge stalactites hanging from the ceiling
the room was completely black and there were small greenish flames flickering from the torches placed strategically on the wall.
A shadow figure sat atop his throne as if waiting for someone but there was no one there, not even in the shadows. He was tall and muscular, wearing all-black leather clothes, and his eyes were covered by black shades. He didn't move as he stood frozen, waiting patiently for a few seconds.
"Master Eoin, I beg for your help!" Jewel cried.
"My guess is a bunch of newbies was too strong for you," He laughed.
She paused nervously. How best to defend herself? Jewel was the only one able to enter this area without triggering him as long as she didn't make eye contact with Eoin.
"I need to know how to get stronger!" She asked.
Eoin held tightly to the crumbling book in between his fingers. His knuckles became white from holding onto it with such force.
"Well you just need a stronger power," Eoin sneered.
"Yes master, I will do anything to become stronger," Jewel promised. Eoin chuckled as if she was joking.
"I had already contacted the Messengers of Damuzen who hold the secret to your power," Eoin snickered.
"Who are they?" She questioned.
"Do you know what this book is in my hands, Jewel?" He asked.
She was confused as she stared as he crinkled it in his bony hands. He pulled it toward him revealing the faded black ink words. She shook her head not being able to answer Eoin grabbed Jewel roughly pulling her close to him before placing his hand over her chest. Her body froze as she struggled against him, pain filled her veins as she tried desperately to free herself.
"You are only flesh and blood because of the ink staining these pages and if that kid gets a hold of it then you will be no more Jewel…" He affirmed.
Pain erupted through her entire body. Her screams echoed throughout the dark room Eoin let go, releasing Jewel's body dropping her to the floor. Gasping for air she laid there on the cold stone floor trying hard to catch her breath she clutched onto her chest as she fought to breathe.
"What must I do to be flesh and blood?" She gasped.
Looking down at her veins she could see the black ink seeping through her skin as it began to drain out of her body.
"According to his notes he based you on a girl named Della and the Messengers of Damuzen are getting her right now," he stated.
Her body stopped moving as she looked up at him with frightened eyes. He took a step forward towering over her as he glared deeply into her soul.
"You must go there right now!" He growled.
"Thank you Master Eoin!" She shouted.
He winced in pain as his bones creaked his weight from one foot to another. "And it will be your fault for bringing this book into our world," He hissed angrily.
She ran out of the room, not stopping running until she got outside. She collapsed leaning against the nearest wall, her eyes watering as hot tears rolled down her cheeks. She felt sick and nauseous as she remembered his cruel words and how much it hurt. It burned worse than fire did to her and she was surprised he allowed it to continue.
"I'm going insane...I think I'm losing my mind..." She whispered.
