Chapter 4 - Chapter 4 Shen Yi

Shen Yi was abducted by Dr. Caesar to the underground research base in the Amu Mountains when he was only eight years old. What set Shen Yi apart from the other children was that he was Dr. Caesar's most precious experiment.

This was because Shen Yi possessed the noblest pure-blooded royal lineage, along with the physical prowess of a sports champion and the brilliant mind of a genius.

Dr. Caesar initially embarked on this research due to the fact that his only son had contracted an incurable cancer. After years of futile medical treatments, Dr. Caesar had become utterly disillusioned with conventional medicine. Consequently, he abandoned traditional medical practices and devoted himself to researching a miraculous chemical substance that could mutate human genes, making them resistant to all diseases and disasters. He aimed to create humans with the strength and resilience of wild beasts.

Unfortunately, Dr. Caesar's research had not yet succeeded by the time his son uncontrollably succumbed to his ailment.

Driven to madness by grief, Dr. Caesar desperately sought to prove that his initial choice had been correct. He recruited a group of ambitious scientists to serve him and established a massive underground research facility in the Amu Mountains of Thailand. He also kidnapped numerous children from around the world to use as test subjects.

Young Shen Yi was one of those children.

Shen Yi turned out to be the most successful experiment. His body absorbed the drugs that Dr. Caesar injected into him like a sponge, undergoing mutation after mutation. He grew increasingly powerful, akin to a divine wing, possessing boundless strength.

However, the price of having extraordinary abilities was the mutation of his body and the loss of his humanity.

Although Shen Yi possessed an indestructible physique, incredibly acute senses, the agility to vanish like the wind, and the fierce strength of a beast, his body was as cold as a corpse, devoid of warmth, just like his heart.

He had long lost all memories of his childhood and his innate human kindness and ethical values.

He could no longer feel any human characteristics within himself.

As time passed, Shen Yi's power grew stronger, while his body became increasingly bizarre.

Sections of his skin had already begun to turn transparent, making it possible to clearly see his pulse and bones with the naked eye.

Not only that, but Shen Yi also required a regular intake of large quantities of fresh blood to satisfy his body's needs, much like the legendary vampires.

Furthermore, at the sound of thunderous thunder, he would go into a frenzy like a wild beast. And every fifteenth day of the first lunar month, during the full moon, his body would undergo a transformation.

This torment was more cruel and terrifying than having one's heart and bones torn out while still alive...
