Qi Jun couldn't believe his eyes as he witnessed a fierce battle between two exoskeleton-armored figures in the distance. The excitement coursing through him was palpable.
Anyone who had seen "Iron Man 1" would instantly recognize that Qi Jun had somehow found himself in the Marvel world. The iconic Mark II and Iron Overlord, not to mention Tony Stark's flamboyant Iron Man suit, made it clear who was behind these mechs. But unlike the usual time-travel protagonists, Qi Jun decided to stay incognito. After surveying his surroundings, he pulled his sweater's hood low over his face and cautiously avoided the bustling crowds near Stark Building.
He didn't care whether he possessed a unique advantage or whether the Supreme Mage, the Ancient One, sensed his "smuggling" into this world. Qi Jun knew how the plot would unfold: the infamous villain, the Iron Overlord from "Iron Man 1" (Tony Stark's uncle, Obadiah), would ultimately meet his fiery demise, courtesy of Pepper Potts, when the Arc Reactor overloads.
The colossal energy column that would shoot into the sky, much like a nuclear explosion, would consume not only the Iron Overlord but also most of Tony Stark's Mark suit series, turning them into molten iron or vaporizing them.
Qi Jun couldn't help but wonder if the energy column would behave exactly as it did in the movie, or if there were unexpected deviations. After all, without Iron Man, was it still Marvel?
As he pondered this, Qi Jun couldn't help but complain about Tony Stark's actions. While the Hulk and Doctor Strange had their roles to play, Tony Stark had a pivotal part too. Why did he have to snap his fingers? His reckless actions could alter the course of events drastically.
Qi Jun, however, had no time to dwell on these thoughts. He needed to blend in and avoid drawing attention to himself in this unfamiliar, potentially perilous world.
Qi Jun's journey into the Marvel Universe wasn't planned. He had simply wanted to relive the epic battle scenes from "Avengers IV," and so he bought a movie ticket for the film's final showing.
Everything was going fine until he saw Tony Stark's fateful snap. In an instant, he found himself transported into the heat of battle between Iron Man and the Iron Overlord. Qi Jun couldn't help but harbor some resentment toward Iron Man.
Why did he, of all people, have to be dragged into this? Why not others who watched the movie's premiere? Was it because this was the last showing in the cinema? Qi Jun's frustration was reaching its boiling point.
Unfortunately, he had no choice but to keep his head down and try to stay out of harm's way. It was only then that Qi Jun realized he seemed to be wearing clothes that belonged to this world.
His left hand bore a familiar scar from a childhood scuffle, and his hands, though not immaculate, showed signs of an independent life. In his pocket, he found a Huawei P30, a smartphone that shouldn't have existed in this time frame.
The evidence was overwhelming: Qi Jun had been inexplicably transported to the Marvel Universe.
Fear gnawed at him as he imagined the consequences of being discovered by S.H.I.E.L.D. or other powerful entities in this world. Qi Jun knew that his only hope for survival was to keep a low profile and find a way back to his own reality.
Qi Jun: Dressed like a typical civilian, what should I do now? It's time to come up with a plan! Urgent!
