From Ena's POV:
My element is "Light Projection." It allows the transformation of mana into a light that can damage or stun enemies. This is The Bushida family's most precious and strongest element. It's so strong that it could instantly make an ordinary person into a big and respected sorcerer, even by people like Arakan... but I wasn't born a normal person.
When I was born, my body was too weak. I was monitored and taken care of by hospitals until I was eight years old. My parents and relatives loved me. They would turn the world over for me. Why wouldn't they be?
As soon as I was born, Himari, The Human Mirror was hired by my parents to look into my soul and find out about my Light Projection. My family thought that I would become a strong sorcerer that could help the Bushida Family rise from the ashes and become one of the strongest families.
Everything was going perfectly until Himari revisited us.
Himari: "You see... Such a weak body like Ena's is not supposed to hold such a strong soul..."
My body was extremely fragile. I would still be able to use Light Projection if I awakened my mana, but this came with four big restrictions.
The first is that I could not project mana more than ten centimeters away from my body.
The second is that if I try to strengthen my light, my body will burn from the inside.
The third is my mediocre amount of mana.
The fourth is that I can't awaken my element. To awaken an element, your body would have to become so strong that it has to surpass the human's limits and become something like a superhuman.
After the discovery of my uselessness to my family, I became nothing more than waste that had to be thrown somewhere not to cause trouble.
But after searching, I finally found someone who believed in me. Someone who wanted to help and see me grow.
From Narator's POV:
In the inside of the Takabe family's dojo.
Arakan was wearing a raven dark Gi, Akumu was sitting in the middle of the right side of the dojo in her usual kimono, and one of the elders of the Takabe family was sitting close to her with the same raven dark Gi.
Ena: "I am ready for our first training."
Said Ena with her cute voice while wearing the same Gi as Arakan.
Akumu: 'SOOOO CUTE.'
Screamed Akumu in her mind while keeping a calm and formal face even though, in her mind, she couldn't resist Ena's cuteness.
Akumu: 'Uhhhh, why is Chikara not more like her.'
Said Akumu while referencing her son, who was currently eating dirt from the dojo's garden in a mud-covered Gi.
Arakan stood from his seat and got close to Ena, who was in the middle of the dojo.
Arakan: "As of now, your body is too weak to even think about awakening. Today, I will help you determine how much mana your body can endure without backfiring. If some kind of injury is to happen, Akumi is here to heal you."
Akumi could already imagine Ena spraining her ankle and asking her mama for help.
Akumi could no longer keep a straight face and revealed her blushing face that was covered by her hands.
Arakan: "Okay, now close your eyes and calm down."
Ena: "Okay."
Said Ena as she closed her eyes.
Arakan placed his hand a few centimeters away from Ena's head. He gathered a small amount of red mana in his palm, and after some seconds, the mana in his hand turned into a red flame that completely covered Ena.
Akumu: "ARAKAN."
Akumu jumped from her place and tried to help Ena but was stopped by the elder.
"Master Akumu, please don't be scared. I am sure that Master Arakan knows what he is doing. Not even I could come close to his control over mana."
Even though Akumu was scared by the scene before her, she knew what kind of genius Arakan was. She was sure that Arakan knew what he was doing, so she sat in her place.
Ena: "ARRRRRRR*^%&%^&*(%^*^%&%&"
Screamed Ena in agony while trying to put out the flames by rolling on the floor.
Akumu finally understood that her reaction was genuine.
AFTER FEW MINUTES
Ena finally opened her eyes.
Akumu: "You psychopath...*cries* Bastard."
Said Akumu while crying.
Arakan: "*sigh* It's not my fault that she couldn't bear a little scratch like this."
Akumu: "YOU BURNED A LITTLE GIRL YOU PSYCHO."
Screamed Akumu.
Ena: "Did I do good?"
Asked Ena slowly.
Arakan: "Huh? Not at all."
Said Arakan in his man-child voice.
Akumu: "SHUT UP!"
Screamed Akumu at Arakan.
Arakan: "Anyway, I invented a good training method for you... But it will be a lot harder than now."
Ena widened her eyes.
Ena: 'Harder than today?'
Said Ena in her mind while still remembering the agony she felt from today.
Ena: "I have to do this... I am fine with that."
Said Ena in a scared tone.
Arakan could sense her fear but said nothing about this.
Arakan: "Then I will see you in the same place again tomorrow."
Akumu: 'I can't let this go on. He will kill her."
Arakan left them there before going to his son and giving him a big sack full of small rocks.
Arakan: "TRAIN HARDER!!!!"
Chikara saw a beautiful light before him. He widened his eyes and opened his mouth in amusement.
Chikara: "Yes Father."
Said Chikara with a smile and started eating the rocks.
The Next Day
Ena was standing trembling in the garden with widened eyes and open mouth in shock while looking up.
Ena: "This is..."
Said Ena, who was covered by a gigantic shadow.
Ena: "WHAT IS THIS?"
Said Ena while pointing at the gigantic stone block that was as big as a stadium.
Arakan: "Ah, I am glad that you are happy I took my time while choosing the block."
Said Arakan with a slight blush.
Ena: "... what... am i supoesed to do?"
Arakan looked at The scared Ena.
Araka: "Ah, no, no. Don't get scared. It's not what you think it is. You just have to destroy it completely."
Ena: "THATS EXACTLY WHAT I HAD IN MIND!"
Screamed the scared Ena.
Arakan: "Huh? Do you think that this is Hard? Chikara has to eat it completely."
Chikara: "What?"
Said Chikara with a dumb face while chewing on a metal foam.
Ena: 'F^ck, why does this sound harder?'
Arakan: "Let me explain. I will use my mana to help you transform the mana into your Light Projection and clothe your hand in a negative light that will help you increase your power so that you can break the block."
Ena: "But my restriction..."
Said Ena while looking at Arakan with a scared expression.
Arakan: "It is fine. I mean, me and Akumu are here."
Said Arakan in his man-child voice while pointing at Akumu.
Akumu: "Don't you dare..."
Said Akumu with scratched eyes. She cried all night.
Arakan: "Get into position."
Ena did just as Arakan instructed. She got into a position of punching.
Arakan placed his hand on her left shoulder and pushed his mana into Ena.
The mana traveled through her body and arrived at her right fist.
The mana transformed into a shining light.
Ena: 'Is this mana?'
Said Ena, who never in her life had ever felt mana.
Arakan: "FOCUS."
Ena got into position once again.
Arakan: "NOW."
Ena twisted her body to perform a basic straight punch.
Her hand was so fast that it looked like it was traveling at the speed of light.
*BOOOOOOOOOM*
Everyone widened their eyes.
A loud sound of an explosive covered everyone's ears, followed by a large smoke.
After a few seconds, the smoke finally cleared out, revealing the tragic scene.
Akumu: "ENAAAAAAA."
Akumu jumped from her seat and went to help Ena.
The smoke revealed the large stone. Not Even a single bit of destruction had followed this stone.
It was like new, as if it was just created by god, but this time it had a large amount of blood covering it.
But this could not be said for Ena.
Her clothes and body were completely covered in blood. As for her hand... Her knuckles and half of her palm completely explored, revealing the muscles and bones in her hand.
Arakan: '*sigh* She didn't even make a crack.'
Ena's heart beat faster than ever.
Ena: "My... hand."
Ena could not keep her temper anymore. Her eyes showered in tears.
Akumu finally grabbed Ena's hands and started using her healing power.
After some time, Arakan inspected the situation.
Arakan smiled.
Arakan: "It looks like it was a success after all."
Said Arakan in his man-child voice
Even though Arakan was disappointed that Ena was so weak that she couldn't even make a crack, he knew that his training method would help Ena become stronger.
Akumu: "What do you mean "Success"?"
Said Akumu, horrified by her husband.
Arakan: "As long as she receives recovery through mana, her muscles, bones, and skin will adapt and become stronger, and one day, she can maybe put a dent in the stone."
Ena widened her eyes out of fear.
Ena: 'I have to do this again?'
Akumu: "Nooo... this wont happen agg-"
Akumu was cut off.
Arakan: "No one was talking to you!"
Said Arakan with a cold voice and intimidating aura, pointing towards Akumu.
Akumu: "I am sorry..."
Said Akumu with her scared face, looking at the floor.
Arakan: "The decision is yours, Ena."
Ena: '... Torao... I am sorry...'
Just before Ena could finish her thought, memories from her time with Torao flashed through her mind.
Ena: 'No... What was I thinking? Torao would never leave me like that... why should I?'
With her newfound determination, Ena answered Arakan.
Ena: "This was nothing... I can do this again..."
Arakan: "*sigh*... Okay, but I have work to do. Give me your hand."
Said Arakan while stretching his hand towards Ena.
Ena gave her now-healed right hand.
Arakan grabbed her hand and put a sleeve on her right forearm, and drew a symbol.
After Arakan drew the symbol, the symbol shone blue, and after a few seconds, the light disappeared.
Arakan: "This is a magic rune. Runes can be used on weapons. This specific rune can supply your hand with mana. It basically does exactly what we did today. Use it wisely."
Arakan then left them alone.
Akumu: "Ena..."
Ena looked at Akumu.
Akumu: "You don't need to do this so that you can become stronger."
Akumu extended her hand towards Ena.
Akumu: "I, too, was born the same way as you and my life is perfect, please you don't ne-"
Ena pushed her hand away from her.
Ena: "I need it, and I will do it."
Ena returned to her pose and did the same thing as before.
After a whole day of Ena punching the stone with all her power and Akumu healing her, Arakan finally came back to see what was going on.
As Arakan entered, he saw Ena, who was on her knees and looking at the floor with her almost unconscious eyes and her clothes and body completely covered in blood.
He then made his way to the blood-covered stone.
Arakan: "Not even a crack."
Then he saw Chikara in the corner of his eyes.
Chikara was crying his eyes out.
Chikara: "Dad *sniff**sniff* I am hungry."
Arakan looked at his idiotic son and finally understood.
Arakan: 'Ah yes, I told him to eat the parts of the stone that Ena destroys...'
Chikara: "Daddy, can I eat the cook's clothes again? *sniff*Pleaseeeeee"
Then Arakan looked at the sky and thought of the memories of Torao and his other sons and daughters.
Arakan: 'Ah, my children, why did you have to leave home this soon?'
Arakan: "*sigh* Yes, son, let's go and ask the cook for his clothes."
Chikara stopped crying, held his father by hand, and went to the kitchen.
