Chereads / My Moonlight Omega / Chapter 7 - SIX

Chapter 7 - SIX

Alexander POV...

I couldn't bear it when Laim told me the truth about Veronica—how she was left alone by her own people, how she put up with all this, and the accusations against her were never proven, so how come? These people can destroy innocents like the ignorant. And Alpha Thomas seemed very sensible to me; I thought he was like his brother, but here he turned out to be the biggest tyrant.

All this cruelty is happening to his great-niece under his nose, and he doesn't even know. "She hasn't been taken out of the basement yet."

No, Alex, Sophia told me that the place where she is being held is secret; only Luna Katrina and her guard Jain go there, and she also told me that as long as Veronica is in that basement, she can't eat or drink anything for so long."

Hearing all this, my heart was crying; my mate was enduring so much pain alone. "Does his alpha, Thomas Jefferson, know about this? Does he know how much his wife is oppressing Veronica?"

"No, Sophia has told me about it since." Laim fell silent. I ordered him to continue with hand gestures. "She was accused of wrongdoing, and since then Alpha Thomas has cut all ties with her and given all responsibility to Luna. Sophia has told me that Alpha Thomas does not like to talk to his niece or even look at her appearance, so he is unaware of everything."

I hit my hand on the wall. "How can someone be so stoned and be investigated for what he was accused of?"

"No, Alpha trusted what Luna told her, so it never got to the point of investigation. Sophia had said that Veronica had sworn to her dead parents and told her that she didn't know all of this and that she had never had a relationship with a boy."

I turned. Alright, now we'll do our thing; you go deliver my message to Alpha. Thomas, I have to meet him in half an hour; he and his wife are in the sitting room, Alpha Alexander's, and if he asks, tell him mine. order." Laim nodded and left the room.

"Veronica Jeon, so this is the girl who was hidden and enslaved, kept hidden after the deaths of Alpha Jeon and Jia, and the reason for her parents' deaths is still unknown, never mind from now on. I will take every injustice that happens to you to account, mate; you are not alone anymore." I closed my eyes, and again, Veronica's tearful face appeared in front of me.

Exactly half an hour later, I reached the lounge straight from the room where Alpha Thomas and Luna Katrina were already present. They both smiled upon seeing me. I was sitting on the couch, and Laim was standing behind me.

"Alpha Alexander, you sent me a message for the meeting; did we make a mistake?"

Thomas asked a question, but I silenced him with my hand gesture and started my speech. "You know Thomas Jefferson is used to straight talking; all my business partners have never let me down; and you also know that all the other packs are successful because they have the hand of Haethon Kingdom on their heads." The pack may also end with my order. And successful too; this is the power of me and Haethon Kingdom; Haethon Kingdom is super powerful, don't you know this?"

I looked at him; there was anger in my eyes and pride in my tone, because of which he got scared. I picked up the glass on the table and drank two sips. "You know, in my pack, everyone lives with equal rights; men and women all have rights."

"So in our pack, everyone gets equal rights, Alpha Alexander; the rights that my late brother applied for here are still established today."

Alpha Thomas had pride on his face, but it was all a lie, and his pride was about to end today.

Oh, really, does every omega really have equal rights here?" Then I looked at Luna Katrina, who had been listening to everything silently until now. Really, Luna, no one in this pack is treated unfairly." She started looking around and saw me.

"Alpha Alexander, tell me what sin has happened to us." Alpha Thomas looked into my eyes.

"Before coming here, I got some information that I am putting in front of you: Alpha Jeon and Beta Jia died suddenly from poison, correct?"

Thomas nodded.

"And after they died, they left a sign, right?" This time, Thomas didn't nod his head but kept staring at me. Suddenly Katrina started talking: "Absolutely, this pack is their sign."

Pack!" I laughed and slapped my hand on the table, which scared them all. "Where is Veronica Jeon?" My eyes were red, my nose was swollen, and Laim put his hand on my shoulder and asked, "Where is your niece, Alpha Thomas Jefferson?"

"She is dead." I will stand by the words of Luna Katrina. I started to go towards her, but Laim caught me. I looked at Laim, then I turned back.

"What is all this alpha? Alexander, up in front of me, started attacking my mate."

There was anger in Thomas's voice. I turned and walked toward him. "And what your mate has done to my mate." I screamed.

"Your mate?" He asked in surprise.

"My mate, Veronica Jeon, is my mate." After this announcement, there was silence all around. "My mate has been imprisoned by your mate; do you know that?"

He was surprised at my question, and his wife started looking at me again. "Imprisonment: Veronica is not a prisoner; she is a slave." His voice was hoarse.

"Then you really don't know the truth, Alpha. Thomas, your wife beat Veronica all night, and after that, your mate locked my mate in the basement."

"What?" He started looking at me with scared eyes.

"She is still imprisoned; your mate oppressed my mate; she is hungry and thirsty." I screaming. "How can someone be so cruel, but not anymore? I want my mate."

Thomas turned to Katrina, who was already scared. "Is it true that the basement was built in this house where Veronica is imprisoned?"

Katrina didn't answer, so I called Thomas. "You call Luna's guard, and he will tell all the truth." And then Katrina's guard told everyone that there is a basement in this house, and Veronica is imprisoned there. Thomas turned towards the basement, and I started walking behind him.

When I came down from the stairs, it was dark all around. My heart was filled with fear; I was imprisoned by fear. We reached a big hall through a thin tunnel where there was a little light. And the stench was so strong that the animal died here; then Jain opened a door and himself retreated.

Thomas entered, and then I entered with him. We couldn't see everything clearly in the light of the lamp, but then we saw the chain. Laim opened the phone's flashlight, and we all gasped.

A girl was lying in blood on the floor; her hands were chained to her feet; her face was covered with dry spots of blood; her hair was scattered; and she was crying for water. I fell to the ground; my heart was in great pain. Laim held me. Thomas turned to stone; he just looked at his niece with wet eyes. I pushed Laim away and went closer to Veronica. I lifted her into my arms and started walking. But I stopped and looked at Thomas, who was still looking at the floor.

"Our conversation is not over yet." I went to hold my mate in my arms.
