"What the fuck?"
Waking up to the sound of chains I quickly tried to get up only to be forced back down by the obstruction of a steel collar around my neck.
"Where the fuck am I?!"
Taking the time to observe my surroundings I realized that my situation wasn't good.
I was chained pretty much everywhere. My arms, legs, and neck were all chained to a pole and the way they were arranged was made to make sure I would be in an uncomfortable position.
"Taking a guess I'm pretty sure I'm a slave right now. You have to be fucking kidding me. So I died and I reincarnated as a slave? What bad karma did I rack up to deserve this?" I lamented, not willing to accept my current predicament.
It's safe to guess that I was sent back into the past based on the fact that slavery seems to be the norm around here and I was being held captive on what I can only assume to be a slave ship.
*BOOOOOOOOMMMMMMM*
A massive cannon fire explosion erupted, sending vibrations and shockwaves all around the ship. The screams of pain, anguish, terror, and despair rang in my mind sending a chill racing down my back.
"KILL THEM ALL! DON'T LET A SINGLE ONE OF THEM FUCKING SURVIVE!"
"SLAUGHTER THE MEN, RAPE THE WOMEN AND TAKE ALL THE FUCKING LOOT! MAKE THESE DAMN SLAVERS REGRET THE DAY THEY WERE BORN!!"
"Well, that confirms my theories right there. I wish I had a system, but I guess it's better this way—kind of." I sighed.
I just had to be reincarnated as a captive slave on a slave ship that's now being boarded by pirates. Just fucking great.
The hatch to the ship suddenly swung open and the headless body of a soldier wearing French attire rolled down the stairs.
Following the body down were two men who were wearing dark-colored clothing, both of them held swords that were drenched in the blood of who knows how many people.
As they made their way toward me their features became more clear for me to see thanks to the shine of the moonlight from outside and what I saw completely surprised me.
I always thought pirates were dirty as fuck. I expected them to be burly, dirty, and hideous with yellow and jagged teeth with plaque and all that other shit but seeing these two threw all those assumptions out the window.
These two looked clean and extremely handsome. One of them was tall with brown skin, dark hair, and abyssal black eyes while his companion was pale-skinned with golden hair and blue eyes. But that wasn't what made me shaken by their presence it was something else entirely.
Both of these men were surrounded by auras that were visible to the naked eye. The pale-skinned guy was surrounded by a purifying golden aura and his comrade was surrounded by a dark and cold abyssal aura.
These two possessed strength that far surpassed whatever my mind could comprehend. They could do whatever they wanted to me and I would be powerless to stop them. I could only accept my fate and curse my horrible luck.
"What are we gonna do with the slave Julian?" The dark-skinned man asked as he narrowed his and observed me up and down, "Do you we kill him or not?"
"I don't know Ryalle." Julian, The azure-eyed man responded as he swung his blood-drenched saber around. "This ship is supposed to be of high importance based on the Armada that was guarding it. We had to steal a flag from a French frigate just to make sure we didn't risk getting spotted."
"You're right about that." Ryalle agreed as he looked at the floorboards while tapping his foot, seeming lost in his thoughts. "Take the promising ones and kill the rest. We'll let the Captain decide if they're worth keeping. The rest we can just sell." He decided.
"Perfect." Julian nodded as he walked towards me Julian started walking around the lower deck freeing any slave he deemed worthy while killing the rest.
The wails and curses of the unfortunate echoed in my ears as they were mercilessly slaughtered. The metallic scent of blood filled my nose and I zoned out slowly realizing that my new life could just about end before it even began.
Julian stopped just a few feet away from me as he smirked, before I realized anything all I saw was a flash of gold and the sound of chains hitting the ground.
Before I could revel in the feeling of being freed from such an uncomfortable position I was grabbed by the shirt and pulled into Julian's face and I held his stern gaze.
"You were the only one who was chained by yourself and not crammed up with the rest of them." He explained. "Answer my questions truthfully and you'll live. Fail and your head flies off. You understand?"
"Yes," I calmly answered.
"Good," He smiled, satisfied by my cooperation, "What's your name slave?"
I almost froze up at the first question. This body didn't have a name. Guess I have to make a new one on the spot. This body's memories don't include his family and based on his age and the period they were either dead or lost on the slave ships.
"Emyrs," I said, giving myself a name in this new life and world I was now living in.
"Emyrs huh," Julian responded, his eyes showing an interesting gleam, "What country were you guys from before captivity?"
"Benin," I answered quickly, "We were captured and put on these ships a few weeks ago. I didn't hear the exact name of the country when they would converse about their destination but I heard something about the Caribbean."
Julian's eyebrows shot up at my answer, "You might just be worth keeping alive. Final question. Your age."
"Twelve"
"Perfect," He laughed he let me go and I fell back onto the floor.
I looked back up at Julian, "You better be worth keeping alive kid. I have a feeling that you're meant to be more than just a mere slave."
Before I could even question why he said that after meeting me for no more than five minutes I heard him snap his fingers and I lost all feeling in my body as my vision turned black.
