*The detective's office*
A Saturday evening, the pleasantly warm but chilly sun shined through the windows and into the office as Victor and Catherine got together to try and scatter a plan up.
Victor had already built up a plan, to squeeze his self in the underground and try not to get caught doing so, tho, if he was true to himself, that plan was pretty stupid and had a pretty high chance to fail, but luckily for himself, he wasn't true to himself, that's why Catherine was there..
Catherine-"Victor, you're gonna get easily caught."
Catherine said with a serious tone, his brows furrowed as she looked at Victor with a look that questioned his intelligence as a detective.
Victor-"Come on, Angel! It's a perfect plan, get in, gather information and get out. No one's gonna see me-"
Catherine-"Everyone is going to see you, Victor, the undergrounds are no easy targets, and aren't easily fooled. If we're going to do this right, we need to infiltrate in there as one of their own."
Catherine said crossing his arms as her beige eyes continued to watch Victor, his voice still held a serious tone.
Victor-"And how are we- Wait- WE??"
Victor's eyes widened as he finally took in Catherine's words, his head snapping immediately into her direction.
Catherine-"Yes, we. My kids are a victim into this whole mess and I am not standing by and just waiting for them to magically come back to me."
Victor-"But-But, Wait, What about what Rue said?? About you, having a low profile for the next couple of weeks or so?? If you do this then you're gonna put yourself in more danger than you already are."
Catherine-"And I, frankly, do not care, my children's lives are at stake and I would rather be in deadly danger than not go and get my children back home."
Catherine protested, his tone serious and stern as her eyes pierced through Victor's soul, his pupils becoming sharp as the ones of a snake.
Victor quieted down, his mouth closing as he heard his Angel's stern and serious tone for the first time, a small shiver being sent down his spine as her beige eyes pierced through him.
Catherine let out a sigh before speaking up again.
Catherine-"We can take disguises, but not some cheap stuff from a dollar store down the street, we need, good and practical disguises, some that will actually change our appearances."
Catherine explained his plan, his fingers rubbing his chin softly as he continued to think of what they can disguise themselves in and how their new personalities would have to play out in order so they won't end up with a bullet in their heads.
Victor-"Alright, then we'll need new personalities as well.."
Victor trailed off as he ran out of ideas, Catherine stood quiet as well, not being able to think of an idea..they both sat there, in silence as they tried to rummage for a scarp of an idea.
But then a knock on the door echoed through the room, and Vinnie, Victor's assistant opened the door, a smile on her face as she entered in their plan with newly born information.
Vinnie-"My apologies if I'm disturbing, but I just got a pretty helpful information for your guises plan."
Vinnie spoke softly, her voice sounding modulated as she walked swiftly towards their table, placing a piece of paper with a location drawn on it.
Vinnie-"In three days there will be a small gathering, of any type of undergrounds, calm music, drinks and all you need to do is nod and listen closely to their words. The location is a bit deep in the underground, but there's a safe way to get there, through a back alley that's right at the entrance of where their territory starts."
Catherine and Victor watched and listened Vinnie closely, looking at the drawn piece of paper while Vinnie guided them with her finger on the drawing, explaining everything carefully.
Victor-"Where did you get this information from?"
Vinnie-"Derick gave it to me in the morning before you arrived here."
Victor smirked and snickered at Vinnie's words.
Victor-"Well shit, I forgot Derick still had connections from the past. Send him my thanks, would you, songbird?"
Victor said as he rubbed his forehead, his mesmerising blue eyes looking at Catherine.
Catherine smiled softly, nodding with a 'yes' back at Victor.
Victor-"Alright, then I'm guessing that with how the place where we're going is a sort of small ball? Then we'll have to disguise ourselves as some high ranked undergrounds."
Catherine nodded at Victor's words.
Catherine-" We need jewellery, and we need to make it look real, fancy clothing, and we'll need wigs as well."
Vinnie-" Shouldn't you guys need eye contacts as well?"
Victor-" Fuck no, I'm not getting those things into my eyes, I'm wearing my glasses but not eye contacts, besides, a ton of people have blue eyes."
Catherine and Vinnie looked at Victor for a split second. Victor crossed his arms as Catherine sighed.
Catherine-" Victor, your eyes are a mix or blue and purple and have a light blue spot in your pupil. I don't think a lot of people have the type of eyes you have."
Vinnie nodded to Catherine's statement, her brown eyes staring back from Catherine to Victor. Victor only smiled and placed his hand over his cheek.
Victor-" Aww, songbird, I didn't know you found my eyes that special."
Catherine sighed again, rolling his eyes as she smiled and looked back at Vinnie.
Catherine-" Do you think you can find some of the stuff we need, I can't accompany you with how the situation is at the moment, so you'll have to help us get those stuff. Drag Victor along as well."
Catherine said with a smile, her words soft as he directed towards Victor with his hand.
Vinnie nodded with a smile and chuckle, Victor only made a whining noise, his arms crossed as he looked at his songbird.
Catherine then looked back at Victor, her beige eyes staring into Victor's purplish-blue eyes with a soft smile.
Catherine-" I'll leave you two to it then, if there's anything I can be of help then please tell me."
Catherine took his cloak from the chair and wrapped it around her body, turning towards the door to leave, but not before Victor grabbed his hand that reached for the door knob.
Victor-"Let me accompany you to your home, please? It's not safe alone with the situation you are in right now."
Victor said with a smile, his eyes begging Catherine to allow him to accompany her in the walk back home.
Catherine stared at Victor for a second, reciprocating the same smile Victor gave him.
Catherine-"Sure."
Catherine nodded, and immediately, Victor took his cloak from the hanger and opened the door for Catherine, both of them walking out of the room.
Victor-"Watch the office for me while I'm gone Vinnie!-"
Victor said to Vinnie before closing the door. Vinnie just smiled and nodded, snickering softly.
Both Victor and Catherine walked together, taking a few minutes for them to reach Catherine's home, but when they did, Cathrine and Victor stopped at the front door, Catherine turned to look at the detective.
Catherine-" Thank you for accompanying me back home, goodbye now."
Catherine cracked the door open just a bit, before Victor took her free hand in his, gently lifting it towards his lips, placing a kiss on the back of his hand and smiling, looking up at Catherine.
Victor-"Goodbye, my songbird, we'll see each other in three days."
Catherine's gaze fell on Victor for a moment longer than usual, his lips slightly parting before it curled into a soft smile, giggling softly and quietly as she nodded, opening the door and entering his mansion before closing the door, her eyes, stealing a last glance at Victor who was walking away from the mansion's door..his lips curling into a smile once more, before closing the door, parting ways for until they met again..
