Chapter 10 - Bayou Hospitality

With what energy I had I made my way to the source of the smell of pie in the distance and less than ten minutes later I found a house set up here in the Bayou.

It didn't look new, it actually looked old like a cottage with its own pier that lead into the bayou, I could see the sign, 'Danger! Beware of Crocs' plastered by the the pier where I could see a bit of smoke coming out of the window as if from something that just finished baking.

'While I'm hesitant to go and ask these folks for some help I can't exactly help it with the situation we are in, let's just hope they still hide us when those guys keep tracking us, the only thing I got going for me as I'm well over 10 miles from there now if I had to guess at the most which they probably doubt I've gone that far in such a short time, thank god for the ungodly amount of agility I have thanks to my stats from that god.' I think to myself as I slowly approach the house.

'…. That's a really big door….' I think as I realize while this place looks old the house is tall that the thick Bayou trees almost can't cover the top of the house hiding it a bit from view.

The door itself was over 8ft tall, about 2ft taller than a normal sized door, so whoever lived here were very big and tall, but pushing my nervousness aside I finally reached the door before I knocked on the door.

…. No response, so again I knocked on the door.

*Thump Thump Thump* I heard some loud and heavy footsteps making there way towards the door before I heard the door being unlocked before it was opened by a rather large croc beastwoman who turned to look at me.

"Can I help you?" She asked questionly as she saw my state of distress, drenched in sweat, tired, while also carrying an unconscious bird woman on his back, this seemed serious.

"H-hi Ma'am, I'm sorry to interrupt you guys when you were about to have dinner and all of that, but we really could use some help, we were being chased by these kidnappers who wanted to take us hostage for some reason or another but I was able to escape them and make it into the bayou before I had to ditch the van and I've been, Huuu, for along while and-" I was going to keep going but she put a finger to my lips to stop me.

"Shh shh Shh, it'll be alright, I can already tell you bein serious so come on in, let's take your frien and let her rest while you tell us slowly what happen okay?" She asked as I heard her get a bit of a more bayou accent in her words saying she and her family have been living out here for some time.

"Nelly! Lizzie! We got some guests! Come down an help Mama out!" She said as she shouted up stairs to get the attention of her daughters who I heard began to move around upstairs from the sounds of the creeks in the floorboards above us.

Soon two equally large croc women who were slightly shorter than their mother came down the stairs to see what their mother needed help with.

'Thank god there all women' I sighed internally when I noticed all three were obviously women only as they didn't have the characteristic bulge in their clothes like other futas do.

"Ma? Who are they? And why does the lady look hurt?" Nelly, the older of the two daughters asked as she looked between the knockout Stella and the tired me before turning to her mother.

"This younguns we're bein' chased down by some bad men and they 'Ave to make a run for it to make it 'ere, could you take the young lady to one of the guest room and get some bandages for 'er head?" Her mother said as Nelly came over and helped take Stella off my hands before heading for one of the guests rooms.

I visibly began to relax as I felt safe now, though you'd think you'd need to be careful of bayou folks as they are 'eccentric' to say the least but I wasn't getting any bad vibes from these girls so I could rest.

"We'll take your shoes off and relax, I'm interested to hear why these bad men as Ma calls them are after you in the first place." Lizzie, the younger sister, said to me as she lead me to the living room to rest.

The room itself had several large pieces of furniture where I go and sit on the couch while Lizzie sits next to me with Nelly joining right afterward and sitting with me as well.

They seemed a bit close for comfort but I think it was more them being friendly, I think, so I retold them what happened, a bit of who we are and probably why we were targeted in the first place.

"Ooooh, so you both are from those richy upper class folks Huh?" Nelly asks though I could hear in her tone that her opinion on me shifts in a not so pleasant direction.

"Well before you assume I'm like all the rest of the rich kids I'll say I'm not, if I was I'd be complaining about this house and the lack of servants being their at my every beck and call, no the girl that's sleeping is more like that then me, and because of that she particularly hates me and why we both want to end our engagements but our moms don't approve of it so our hands are tied." I say with a sigh as I explain that I'm really not the rich asshole type.

"Well if he can run for that long while carrying someone on his back I'd say he's not really like those rich kids that we came to know sis, far as I know they like to stay out of the bayou as much as they can." Lizzie says in my defense which seems to work as Nelly doesn't look at me as badly now.

"Though I got to ask, your house at least has a home phone right? I really need to call my parents and let them know what's going on." I say as I look around, I know the house has electricity tanks to the lights, and tv though their Tv is one of those old box ones from the early to mid 2000's but I doubt they have many channels besides basic cable so I hope they have a cable line at least.

"Well of course we do! Even if we do live way out here in the Bayou we still have people we need to call and meet up with including other family members after all, here let me get it for you." Nelly gets up to go get the phone for me.

I sigh in relief when I hear that, at least I can let them know we're safe, we just need to let this storm pass us over.
