.... Slowly opening my eyes, i see a familiar scenery, it was the ceiling of my room, turning my head to the side, i see the window was open, wind blowing the curtain and bird chirping outside. After looking around for quite a while, I then tried to get up from my bed.
"AGH! Fuc-, why does my chest hurt so bad" i said in pain then lower my head enough to look at my chest, it was covered with bandages and alot of blood trying to leak out the bandages, then i remember what happened before.
"It seems like I was able to hold that cultist until Layla bring her soldier to the cafe" i said with a sigh of relief, then I remember that I was about to check my system but was distracted by the cultist before, so right now is the right time to check how i was able to check other people stats and info.
"Alice open the system" a second after i said that, the system screen shows up infront of me, then i look at my info and stats.

There seems to be something new that have shown up at the system, EXP? How come my STR raise up by 2 and SPD raise up by 1, plus it seems that i've gain a new ability called 'Inspect' maybe that is how i was able to see the cultist info before. Anyway i hope Alice can answer my question regarding on how I got this new info and ability.
"Alice, can you explain to me all about the new info and ability that showed up in my system and how i've gotten it?"
"Yes, I will explain everything about it. EXP are called experience points, it is used to upgrade the level of the host. Host can get EXP by killing opponent or monster and the stronger the monster is the higher the EXP will be rewarded to host.The host was able to get 500EXP by killing the cultist."
"What do you mean i kill the cultist? Didn't he was captured by the guard before i went fainted?"
"Yes, but that was before the host goes into a unconscious state, after the host was unconscious, the soldier was the one who killed the cultist. But how the host was able to get EXP because you had dealt the most damage to the Cultist because of that the host was able to get 75% the EXP from the cultist"
"Ohhh,The way it work was just like the game I used to play before where if you're in one team, the loot drop and EXP will be divided between each member"
"That is correct. Anyway about the STR and SPD stats raise, host was able to raise STR stat because you're able to deal some damage to the opponent who has a higher DF stat than your STR stat. SPD however raises because host was able to dodge the attack of the opponent who has a higher
SPD stat than the host."
"Oh, that's interesting, so i was able to raise my stat from a fighting experience huh, maybe i could also raise my stats from training"
"Yes, that's correct. Host will be able to raise stats from training, but the intensity should be increased everytime the host is used to the training method. Also about the ability called 'inspect' host was able to get this ability by reading alot of book and memorize all of them without any missing detail, the host has gotten this skill when reading the book from the library"
"Is that so... Then i guess my sacrifice spending hour and hour in the library learning about the history and culture was not a waste" i said flashing a big smile on my face, then my happiness was distrupted as i hear the door of my room is opening, turning my head to the door I see a maid, the same maid I've met at the library and the same one who gave me the clothes i needed.
"Hm? It seems like you have woken up, let me check your condition first" she said then walk toward me, she then check my condition and touch some of the wounded part to ask if it hurt, of course I say it hurt.
"Alright all done, please wait here while i bring the princess here" she said then walked out of the room not giving me a second to ask anything.
"Is it just me? Or everyone here seems like they dont want to talk with me" i said then let out a sigh.
Waiting for quite a while, I heard a loud footstep rushing toward the door of my room, stopping at the door, it then open up to see Layla with a little teary eyes looking at me, before i could even speak up any words, she suddenly launched herself and hug me.
"Uwahhh... I was worried about you...." She muffling on my shoulder while crying, it's the first time i've see Layla crying, plus she's crying for someone who hasn't even interacted with her for a year.
'Alice how long has it been since I was gone unconscious' i speak with my thought.
'Approximately 9 days, while going unconscious the princess always check on the host daily' hearing what Alice said, made me shock, first because i've been unconscious for 9 days and second because Layla has been checking on me daily.
"Uhhh, Pr-princess?" I said not moving an inch.
"Ah.. Ehem.. Excuse me... Sorry for being emotional, you made me worried you know? You've been unconscious for 9 days! How come i would not worry about you" she said trying to hide her crying face
"Hmmm, but it was all okay right? I mean look at you. You're safe that's all that matters at the end of the day." I said giving a warm smile to her which made her face a little red
"Y-you... But still! Your condition is still isn't good so it's better to rest right now..."
"It's okay my condition is not that bad, you see i can move my hand around like it was never injured in the first place" i said while moving my arm normally but to be honest it was such a pain to even raise up my hand, but i feel bad for Layla worrying too much about me, so i'll need to do this to relief her a bit.
"F-fine if you say so.... Anyway i've come here to ask you something important and also tell something important"
"S-sure? But the maid is still here isn't she?" I point my finger to the maid
"Uh-uhm please Cassandra get out for a little while okay?" The princess asked the maid as to which she replied with a simple nod and quickly goes outside closing the door behind her. From what she called her, the maid name seems to be Cassandra, thats interesting..
"Hgm-hm anyway back to where we are, i want to tell you something important"
"What is it?"
"Right the question is how come you have never tell me that you can use magic? Are all the thing you've told to me before is a lie?" She ask with a doubting and serious face
"No, i've never lied anything about what I told you before and the magic I use is a magic that I learned recently"
"What do you mean recently?"
"I just learn that i have mana, from the book i've read, so out of curiosity i started to train on how to use my mana and conjure magic"
i said which of course was a complete lie
"Hmmm... To be able to learn magic after learning what mana is... Maybe you're a genius Shin.." She said while staring at me with a deep gaze, looking like She's trying to see if what I said was the truth.
"I don't know why you called me a genius, but let's put that aside for now. Tell me what you wished to discuss with me before?" I said trying to change the topic of the conversation
"Oh- right.. anyway the thing i wanna tell you is that my Mother, the queen wants to meet you, she want to tell you about your case and ask about the fight from before" she said then patting my shoulder "don't worry and don't be nervous! I'll help you to explain what happened to my mother, so don't think to much about it okay?"
To be honest i'm not even worry or nervous but instead i want to meet her because i was curious on why my case has taken too long and what they will do to a human who have saved their people life
"Ri-right I'll keep that in mind" i said acting nervous.
"Don't worry we will go meet her tommorow okay? Make sure to take a rest today and eat some food, i already ask the chef to cook alot of foods once you wake up, so cheer up!" She said making me feel happy....
