What is Lair? Lair is a place located between the borders of Almn and Insen Kingdom. Everyone is required to serve the Lair once in their lifetime. Once an individual reaches the age of 19 - 21 he/she is mandatory to serve the Lair, not just for war purposes, but also to train individuals as the number of monsters walking around the two kingdoms have increased. Serving the Lair can be considered similar to the "military service" happening in the old world. This service are exclusive for both kingdoms. Every 3 years, a new batch of cadets are to be sent in Lair, and to train for another 3 years. After 3 years, the cadets are given the choice if they want to continue serving and become a part of a swarm or leave and continue on with the life they want to have.

A week later, it's time for me to leave.
"Rei have you prepared everything?" uncle asks me. "Yes uncle. I've prepared everything" I replied.
"You have to be careful ok? Your uncle and I aren't there to assist you with things. So be careful ok?" She said with a scowl on her face. "Yes auntie, I'm going to be careful".
"Write for us from time to time" Camie mentioned. "Bye Rei! Visit us if you have time" Ellie said as she frowns.
"Yes! I prepared and packed up everything, I'm going to be careful, send mails, and will try to visit if I have time... Goodbye now everyone!" I waved my hand as I started walking away "Bye Rei!" they said.

After 30 minutes of walking I arrived at the main gate of the kingdom. My friend Jacob is there and other cadets that I'm somehow acquainted to. "Hey Rei" Jacob said as he waved his hand at me.
As I walked closer Sib talked with an arrogant tone "Hey Shrimp! You here?" "Yeah? Unfortunately yes I'm here" I smiled at him then I quickly look away. "This f*ckin-" he said.
"I guess I'm late huh?" I asked Jacob "Not really man, I just arrived. Also, call time is 4, it's still 3:50" he replied.

As everyone was chatting, a bulk man, with huge wings on his back walked in front and talked "Is eveyone here? If everyone is here let us proceed with the briefing... I'm Lieutenant Colonel Mike Cruz, commander of the 4th battalion swarm of the Almn Kingdom. I'm the one leading this trip. As you can see my form is Philippine Eagle. For 7 hours, we will march on this road in front of you to get to Lair. I'm walking up front and fly momentarily to observe everyone. Anything else will be announce once we reach the Lair. I hope you can all keep up. Good luck and let's go".
One of the soldiers shouted. "EVERYONE LINE UP, WE WILL PROCEED!!!"
All the soldiers in front of us started marching then everyone followed up.
2 hours on marching...
"Rei, I've got good news and bad news. Which one should I say first?" Jacob whispered. "The good one" "My brother got assigned as the chief instructor for our batch" he excitedly said.
"Then what's the bad news?" I asked. "He said he's gonna treat everyone equally bruh" his mood quickly shift, and it made me laugh.
"Seems like you're keeping up well shrimp?" Sib haughtily asked, so I ignored him.
"HEY!!! STOP CHATTING!!! If you have the time to talk, use that to move faster" the colonel shouted, as he flapped his wings in the air. "Yes sir".
