Chapter 9 - The Dazzling Announcement: Tristan's Mysterious Marriage Revelation

[Am I the only one who noticed the ring on Tristan's hand? It's dazzling my eyes. Isn't this him announcing to the world that he's married? I heard that he rarely gives interviews, so this must be a special occasion.]

He intentionally accepted an interview to announce his marriage, clearly showing that he has a good relationship with his wife. It's a fairy-tale love story, and I'm hooked. From today onwards, I'm a fan of Mr. Harrington and Mrs. Harrington's couple.

Cecilia: "..." She and Tristan have never attended any public events together, and the outside world doesn't even know what she looks like. And yet, people are already shipping them. Is this person a devil?

Because this person has unique tastes, Cecilia subconsciously glanced at their account name.

Harrington&Sterling, the world's sweetest couple.

...Even their account name has been changed.

And she even concocted a Mary Sue story, posting it as a comment under her own announcement of shipping them.

[Mr. Fu and Mrs. Harrington's families are long-time friends. He is tall and handsome, while she is petite and lovely. He is a few years older than her and silently protects her. As soon as she graduated, he couldn't wait to take her to get married, making her his own woman. In the business world, he is decisive and powerful, but in front of her fragility, he is always careful and cautious. She said she didn't want to be exposed in the media, so he spread his wings and sheltered her under his feathers. She has never appeared, but everyone knows she is Mrs. Harrington.]

Cecilia's eye twitched. Such rich imagination, she almost suspects that Lucy wrote it.

Lucy: [You and your husband are like characters from a beautiful romantic drama. It's so easy to ship you guys!!!]

Cecilia: [Do you need me to wake you up with the Eighteen Dragon Subduing Palms? Ship me with Tristan? You might as well ship Cinderella with Joker.]

Lucy: [...]

Her phone received an incoming call, the delivery had arrived.

Cecilia picked up the call, informed Lucy, and went downstairs to get the delivery.

Tristan had been in the study since he came back, the door closed. Cecilia guessed that when he gets busy with work, he probably forgets about eating. She ordered enough food for both of them for dinner.

Placing the delivery on the dining table, Cecilia messaged Tristan.

[Dinner is here, I ordered takeout. When will you be free to eat?]

After staying on the chat page with Tristan for half a minute and not receiving a reply, she figured he must be working and hasn't had a chance to see her message yet.

She had eaten quite a bit at Mr. Harrington's insistence during lunch, so she wasn't very hungry now. She leaned back slightly in the chair and checked her phone.

Not sure if it was because her hand slipped while watching the video Lucy sent, she accidentally clicked the follow button. As soon as she opened Weibo, that video appeared on her timeline.

The account called "Harrington&Sterling, the world's sweetest couple" had already received the most comments, with many people responding that they were charmed by Tristan's wedding ring.

Some mentioned that they didn't see Tristan wearing a ring.

Cecilia had never paid attention to whether Tristan wore a wedding ring on his hand. Their marriage was a business alliance, so they only wore the wedding rings on the day of the grand ceremony. To avoid people asking about their marriage, Cecilia took off her ring and placed it in the bedside cabinet the next day. Unexpectedly, Tristan started wearing his ring outside.

However, it could also be an ordinary ring and not a wedding ring.

By chance, Cecilia opened the video again to see if Tristan was wearing a wedding ring. With background music playing, Tristan's face appeared on the mobile screen. The lighting in the video was dim, and his hand hadn't appeared in the frame. Just as the video was about to end, a side angle shot briefly captured his finger with a ring. It happened so fast that Cecilia couldn't see where the ring was worn.

Cecilia stared at the screen intently, replaying the video several times. It was only at the end of the video that she faintly saw the ring on his left ring finger.

Confirming that he was wearing a wedding ring, Cecilia didn't interpret it like the comments of online users, who believed that the ring finger was connected to the heart. The fact that Tristan voluntarily wore a diamond ring didn't signify anything about love. Tristan wearing a ring might be to make the Harrington Family believe they were a loving couple.

Without thinking much, Cecilia was about to exit the video when a magnetic voice came from behind, "Until when are you going to keep watching?"

Cecilia had been focused on the video and didn't notice when Tristan came in. Caught off guard by his voice, while the video continued to play on her phone, Cecilia was startled. She hurriedly closed the video, turned her head, and saw Tristan standing behind her. With his hands in his pockets and a casual posture, he stared at her with a half-smile, saying nothing, as if waiting for her to explain why she was watching his video.

Cecilia placed her phone upside down on the table, tugged at her hair, and pretended to be calm as she looked at him.

"When did you come down? I didn't hear you."

"You were too engrossed in the video."

"..."

Engrossed in the video.

The person in the video was him.

It was as if she was engrossed in watching him.

Cecilia awkwardly tugged at the corner of her mouth. She was so focused on watching his video that she hadn't noticed when he came in. Hopefully, he wouldn't mistake her intentions and think she had some kind of inappropriate interest in him.

"I'm not really obsessed or anything," Cecilia Sterling subconsciously denied, feeling a bit guilty as she glanced at Tristan Harrington. She had no idea how long he had been standing behind her, how many times she had watched his videos in his presence. Her face started to feel warm, and she considered whether or not she should explain why she had been watching his videos. But the videos were sent to her by Lucy Preston, and ever since she and Tristan had been preparing for their engagement, she had occasionally brought up Tristan in her casual conversations with Lucy. It wouldn't be appropriate for him to know about that.

After considering for a moment, Cecilia looked up at him and said, "I was just casually browsing."

"Casually browsing and you stumbled upon me?" Tristan raised an eyebrow slightly, a hint of curiosity hiding in his eyes. He didn't appear as serious and cold as he usually did, and there was a touch of a roguish charm in his expression.

Cecilia had always thought of him as someone inherently stable and mature, cold and aloof in public, and the same in private. Seeing this carefree expression on his face now, she found herself slightly distracted. She wondered if he had always been like this, effortlessly concealing his emotions, or if he had developed this skill later in the business world. Everyone has their youthful and impulsive moments, and she wondered if he had ever been impulsive enough to get into a fight during his student days. Suddenly, she wanted to see what he looked like when he lost control.

She couldn't help but imagine him with a crooked smile, exuding a reckless charm.

Tristan noticed her unwavering gaze, but he said nothing, instead leaning closer to her.

His face suddenly came close to hers, his jaw tight, and his sexy Adam's apple bobbing up and down. His deep eyes met hers, and Cecilia's mind went blank for a moment. When she snapped back to reality, she leaned back, creating some distance between them. She cleared her throat and turned her face slightly, avoiding his burning gaze.

"Just a coincidence, you know, that I stumbled upon your video while casually browsing on my phone."

Tristan looked at her, listening to her fabricated story, but he didn't expose her. He raised the corner of his lips and walked to the opposite side, pulling out a chair and placing the takeout boxes on the table. He seemed nonchalant, as if he didn't care much about the matter.

Cecilia stood up and opened the takeout boxes with him. She saw the wedding ring on his finger and thought for a moment. She believed that it would be better to have an open and honest conversation about their relationship, so as to avoid any misunderstandings.
