Even with someone she disliked sitting across the table, it did nothing to affect Ming Ge's appetite.
She ordered the restaurant's famous foie gras and white truffles, and opened a bottle of their priciest red wine.
Thinking of sticking Su Jinci with the bill in the end, after Ming Ge finished ordering, she casually asked, "Aren't you going to order something?"
Su Jinci had no appetite, "No, thanks."
Ming Ge shrugged her shoulders dismissively with an "Oh," clearly she had only asked as a matter of form.
"That will be all for now." She closed the menu and handed it to the waiter beside her. With a twist of her wrist, she picked up the glass of lemonade and took a light sip.
She kept silent.
Resting her cheek in one hand, her eyes lazily shifting, her expression indifferent and casual, she easily dominated this silent, delicate standoff.
It was Su Jinci who broke the silence first. "Ming Ge, you should know why I've come today."
"I don't know."
