Cynthia and Haru stepped outside, greeted by the warm embrace of noon sunlight filtering through the dense canopy of trees. The dappled shades played across the cobblestones beneath their feet, creating a mosaic of light and shadow.
"The Grand Commander is always busy. He's left us alone," Cynthia observed, her eyes tracing the patterns of sunlight dappling the ground. Haru, as silent as ever, simply nodded in agreement.
Cynthia turned to Haru with a wide smile, the sunlight illuminating her features. "But, Sir Haru, I'm so happy! This is my first time participating in a post-mortem examination." Her enthusiasm radiated as she spoke.
