As Christine observed Ingrid fixing her hair in the mirror, she couldn't help but notice the subtle changes in her demeanor. Ingrid wore the same gentle smile as she had yesterday, but today there was an added sense of peace in her eyes.
"Christine, I think I want my hair in a braid today," Ingrid said softly, her voice pulling Christine from her thoughts. "If it's not a burden, of course."
Christine returned Ingrid's smile with a nod. "I am not that skilled but I will try, Your Highness," she replied, stepping forward to begin braiding Ingrid's hair.
As Christine worked, her expression grew increasingly serious, her focus entirely on her task. She meticulously divided Ingrid's hair into sections, her fingers deftly weaving them together in an intricate pattern.
Ingrid waited patiently, her eyes fixed on the reflection in the mirror as Christine braided her hair.
