Ingrid lay peacefully on her bed, her chest rising and falling in a steady rhythm as she napped. Though she was already dressed for the day, the fatigue from a late night left her feeling drained of energy.
A gentle nudge from Christine stirred Ingrid from her slumber, her eyelids fluttering open to the soft glow of daylight. After a few blinks, she turned to face Christine, her brows furrowing in confusion.
"Your Highness, you have a visitor," Christine informed her quietly.
Ingrid's mind groggily processed the information as she struggled to rouse herself fully. Caym brought her back to the Rose Palace late last night, and the still weariness clung to her heavily.
"Who is it?" Ingrid murmured.
"Scholar Leroy, Your Highness. Your history tutor," Christine replied.
