As Ingrid and Caym walked out of the dungeon, Caym's hand gently supported Ingrid's, guiding her steps with a comforting presence. Ingrid glanced around at the knights stationed nearby, her expression thoughtful as she turned to Caym.
"Grand Commander, are we allowed to be together like this?" she whispered, her voice barely above a murmur.
Caym's gaze followed hers to the barracks grounds, where several knights stood watch. "The knights you spot from here to there won't pay heed to our actions," he explained, his tone calm and assured.
Ingrid furrowed her brows, confusion evident in her features. "Why is that?" she asked, her curiosity piqued.
Caym's lips twitched into a small smile at her question. "I made sure they won't," he replied cryptically, his eyes glinting with hidden knowledge.
"That doesn't answer anything," Ingrid retorted.
