"My dear, I am very sorry," said the voice.
Ingrid wiped the tears from her eyes, taking a moment to collect herself. She murmured, "I'm becoming quite emotional. I believe my monthly cycle is drawing near."
The voice expressed its apologies again, "I'm sorry."
"It's alright," reassured Ingrid. Rising to her feet, her gaze drifted down to her skirt, which had acquired a bit of dirt from the ground. Ingrid sighed, thinking how she would explain it to Christine.
The voice chimed in, "If only I could help you, I would."
Ingrid raised her brow, a memory surfacing. "Regarding that, didn't you mention in my dream that you wouldn't be able to help me anymore? Why are you communicating with me now? Are you deceiving me?" she thought, seeking an explanation from the mysterious voice.
