Chapter 8 - Imperial suit 1

With the formalities now complete, Victoria graciously stepped aside, extending a welcoming gesture for Lucien to enter the private elevator. The elevator doors closed behind them, and with a gentle hum, they began their swift ascent towards the penthouse on the upper floors.

As the elevator reached the 145th floor, its doors gracefully opened to reveal a foyer that was nothing short of breathtaking. Marble flooring extended beneath elegant chandeliers, casting a soft, warm glow across the space. Exquisite décor adorned every corner, creating an ambiance of pure opulence. On the right side of the elevator, a discreet security station seamlessly blended into the luxurious surroundings. This station featured a large touchscreen interface, a desk with a comfortable chair, a keyboard, a mouse, and a separate screen for added convenience.

As they entered the space, Victoria initiated an explanation of the security station's impressive capabilities. "This is the security station," she began, "the very panel I mentioned earlier that empowers you to manage permissions. It encompasses a range of functionalities, including Biometric Access Control, Surveillance Monitoring, Intercom and Communication, Alarm System Integration, Access Log and Alerts, Emergency functions, and Privacy mode. The first two are rather self-explanatory. Intercom and Communication facilitate seamless communication with guests and building personnel. Alarm System Integration connects you to the penthouse's security system, allowing you to arm and disarm security measures as needed. Access Log and Alerts keeps a meticulous record of all access attempts and successful entries, and you can configure it to send notifications to your phone. The Emergency functions can be triggered in case of medical incidents, immediately alerting security or emergency services. Finally, the Privacy Mode enables you to temporarily restrict access, ensuring uninterrupted privacy."

Impressed by the comprehensive range of functions, Lucien nodded in approval. "I should definitely connect all these functions to my phone," he thought, recognizing the convenience it would bring.

Moving forward, they ventured to the left side of the foyer, where a luxurious guest bathroom awaited. Adorned with high-end fixtures and materials, it was a spacious oasis of comfort. Lucien couldn't help but marvel at its size, realizing the stark contrast with his previous living conditions. As he absorbed the opulence before him, he couldn't help but reflect on how he had been living a comparatively humble life.

Completing their exploration of the bathroom, they headed towards the grand staircase, even though they had the option of the elevator. Lucien wanted to appreciate the staircase's design, which was positioned adjacent to a decorative fireplace that appeared deceptively real, seamlessly integrated into the high wall.

The wide marble staircase gracefully ascended, allowing a magnificent view down into the foyer when they reached the halfway point. Lucien found himself captivated by the grandeur of the space. The staircase then turned, leading to the front of the penthouse. At the top, they discovered the elevator entrance on the left, positioned at the center of the wall.

On either side, hallways extended from the living room, and Lucien stood in awe of the vast room before him. What truly captivated him, however, was the immense window front spanning approximately 80 square meters, offering an unparalleled view of Starcity. The white marble flooring featured an electric radiant floor heating system. A large grey carpet adorned the floor in front of the window, flanked by bespoke furnishings, including grey couches, armchairs, and tables.

To the left, right beside the window, stood the butler's pantry, positioned adjacent to the dining room. The butler's pantry boasted luxurious marble countertops and custom cabinetry designed for efficiency. A deep sink and a discreet dishwasher ensured swift and convenient cleanup. A beverage station featured a wine cooler and a built-in espresso machine, perfect for the preparation of drinks. A hidden door discreetly connected the butler's pantry to the dining room, allowing for seamless serving.

The formal dining room, positioned just before the living room, was meticulously designed for lavish gatherings. A crystal chandelier and an exotic wood table contributed to the overall feeling of extravagance. The chairs were custom-made for both style and comfort. Victoria explained, "With its opulent design and spacious layout, this dining room can comfortably seat up to 20 distinguished guests. The centerpiece is a magnificent dining table crafted from rare, exotic wood, extending to an impressive 20 feet in length. Luxurious dining chairs, upholstered in the finest fabrics, surround it. Above, a stunning crystal chandelier casts a warm and inviting glow. Priceless works of art grace the walls, creating an ambiance of sophistication."

Custom-designed cabinetry lined the walls, offering ample storage for fine china, glassware, and serving platters. Some of these cabinets featured glass fronts, allowing for the elegant display of exquisite dinnerware.

Following Victoria's comprehensive explanation, Lucien nodded in appreciation and began exploring the right side of the living room. At its center stood a large staircase that led to the upper floors, its design allowing space for an open area beginning from the staircase. The upper floors featured hallways on both sides, separated by glass railings.

"To the right side of the living room," Victoria continued, "you'll find the chef's kitchen, another culinary masterpiece. This kitchen embodies both functionality and style, featuring marble countertops imported from Carrara, Italy. High-gloss cabinetry lines the walls, providing generous storage for cookware, utensils, and ingredients. The kitchen boasts top-of-the-line appliances, including a Sub-Zero refrigerator, a Wolf gas range, and a Miele dishwasher, making it a haven for culinary enthusiasts. An island with additional storage and a breakfast bar serves as the central hub for meal preparation and informal dining. The kitchen is well-lit with a combination of task lighting and pendant lights over the island."

Continuing their exploration, they arrived at the wine cellar, situated next to the chef's kitchen and adjacent to the staircase. Victoria elaborated, "The cellar is a sanctuary for wine enthusiasts, featuring custom-built wine racks displaying a small collection of rare vintages, though it's still mostly empty. The temperature and humidity control system ensures meticulous preservation, allowing you to enjoy each bottle at its peak. Soft, ambient lighting creates an inviting atmosphere, perfect for selecting the ideal bottle for any occasion. The cellar isn't just a storage space but a place to appreciate the art of wine. A tasting table with comfortable seating provides an intimate setting for savoring the nuances of each wine. This wine cellar is a testament to luxury and connoisseurship, a hidden gem within the penthouse."

Victoria couldn't help but note with satisfaction that some wine bottles had been thoughtfully added before the owner's arrival, as she observed the pleased expression on Lucien's face.

They then proceeded to the staircase that jutted into the living room, and Victoria explained, "Underneath the elegant staircase in the living room, there's a high-tech home cleaning system with robot helpers. These intelligent robots are incredibly smart and capable, able to vacuum, mop, clean windows, and even tidy up. You can control them effortlessly through an app, dictating when and how they clean. Yet, what makes them truly remarkable is their discreet presence—hidden under the staircase, they remain unnoticed until they're activated. They're akin to secret cleaning agents, ensuring your home is always sparkling clean. Furthermore, they also provide an additional layer of security, patrolling the penthouse and alerting you to any unusual occurrences. It's all about luxury and convenience."

Lucien felt a weight lift from his shoulders, realizing that he wouldn't need to employ an extensive staff to keep the penthouse immaculate and well-maintained.

With this revelation, they ascended the staircase to the third floor, where a grand door led to the master bedroom. Inside, a spacious and thoughtfully designed sanctuary welcomed them, exuding an air of elegance and comfort. Floor-to-ceiling windows framed awe-inspiring city views, inviting abundant natural light into the room. The centerpiece of the bedroom was a king-size bed, complete with a plush, upholstered headboard and adorned with high-thread-count Egyptian cotton linens for a sumptuous night's rest. Adjacent to the window, a cozy seating area beckoned, perfect for savoring morning coffee while taking in the captivating city skyline. Custom-designed built-in nightstands, featuring integrated charging ports, added a touch of modern convenience.

He then stepped into the master bedroom's walk-in wardrobe, a spacious and meticulously designed haven for his clothing and accessories. The custom-designed closet seamlessly blended with the room's opulent aesthetics.

Inside, he found ample storage with hanging rods, shelves, and drawers for clothing, shoes, and accessories. Mirrored panels lined one side, providing full-length reflections, and built-in lighting illuminated the interior. Soft textiles and premium finishes adorned the closet, creating an atmosphere of luxury.

Custom shelving and compartments to accommodated his collection, while discreet safes offered added security. Practical features like pull-out valet rods, jewelry drawers, and tie racks made dressing effortless. There was also a comfortable seating area, that would allow him to take a moment to choose the perfect outfit, while display areas showcased his favorite accessories.

Also connected to the master bedroom was an en-suite master bathroom, boasting dual vanities, a deep soaking tub with a city view, a separate rainfall shower, and heated marble flooring. Gold-plated fixtures and crystal accents contributed to the bathroom's opulent ambiance.

Upon exiting the master bedroom, two hallways branched out from each side. To the left was the study, flanked by floor-to-ceiling bookshelves that proudly displayed an impressive collection of literature and rare manuscripts. A rolling ladder granted access to the upper shelves, adding a sense of grandeur. A mahogany desk, strategically placed by the window, offered a commanding view of Central Park and the surrounding cityscape. The desk itself was a technological marvel, equipped with a high-tech workstation featuring a large touchscreen monitor capable of various tasks, from digital design to video conferencing. An ergonomic chair ensured comfort during extended working sessions. Several worktables equipped with cutting-edge technology provided ample space for collaborative digital projects, be it graphic design, 3D modeling, or other creative endeavors. Bathed in warm, natural light, the study created an inviting atmosphere, whether for reading, writing, digital work, or simply enjoying solitude.

On the right side, he found the private library, a sanctuary for intellectual pursuits and relaxation. Much like the study, the library featured floor-to-ceiling bookshelves housing an extensive collection of books, including rare editions and literary treasures. A rolling ladder granted him access to all volumes, adding an air of sophistication. Comfortable leather armchairs and plush seating invited him to linger, indulging in hours of reading and contemplation. While not a real fireplace, it had the appearance of one, adding warmth and ambiance to the space. Ample natural light flooded the room through large windows during the day, while elegant sconces and table lamps created a cozy reading nook for evenings.

Once you stand in front of the master bedroom you see the stairs that go down into the living room, and the open space. On the left and right side is marble floor like hallways on both sides, and on the edge was the glass railing that kept the danger of falling down into the living room low. You could also see 3 doors on both sides, these were the guest bedrooms, there was a total of 6 bedrooms.
