In the heart of a colossal and inhabited island, a city emerged like a radiant jewel, encircled by towering wooden and bamboo walls that stood as guardians of its prosperity. Within these protective barriers, the city thrived in opulence, a testament to human ingenuity and their harmonious coexistence with the island's extraordinary flora.
The city's inhabitants had uncovered a trio of unique plant species among the island's natural bounty, cultivated in sprawling farms just beyond the walls. These plants provided sustenance and wonder in equal measure.
The first type of farms nurtured crops resembling radiant jewels. Tall, slender plants bore clusters of mesmerizing, translucent orbs that emitted a gentle, otherworldly glow. These remarkable fruits not only served as a source of nourishment but also bathed the city's streets in a soft, ethereal light.
In the second farm, thriving amidst the island's fertile soil, were verdant plants with stalks as strong as iron and leaves that sparkled with a metallic sheen. These plants yielded a bountiful harvest of flexible, durable fibers, which the city's artisans wove into fabrics and materials of unparalleled strength and beauty.
The third farm was a marvel of biodiversity, a lush expanse filled with towering, flowering plants that reached toward the sky like living skyscrapers. These towering botanical giants produced fruits with flavors that danced on the tongue like a symphony of tastes, an exquisite feast for the senses.
Amidst the radiant streets, where wide roads wound through the city, homes were artfully integrated with verdant gardens. Along every corner of the city, fruit-bearing trees with bright red fruits graced the streets, their branches heavy with a bounty of delectable fruit.
In the midst of this enigmatic island, a city emerged that blended seamlessly with the native surroundings. Surprisingly, this place posed no significant challenges to its inhabitants, and even the crops and fruits grown here were edible for humans without any adverse effects.
Scout crafts ventured out to document the bewildering battles between incoming asteroids carrying golem-like creatures and the island's native armies. Astonishingly, these conflicts concluded within a matter of days, despite the overwhelming number of asteroids. The native armies faced the celestial onslaught with an unwavering resolve, leaving humanity's brightest minds perplexed.
Footage captured from a distance revealed a surreal battleground, with massive boulders soaring through the skies, gigantic flames erupting to heights of dozens of meters, and humans engaging in head-to-head combat with golem-like creatures that dwarfed them in size. The battles resembled scenes from fictional movies on Earth, challenging the very boundaries of what was believed possible in their new world.
However, everyone's goal is to find a safe place they can call home, and the goal is achieved. The spacecraft, Sapphire Nova, which held the responsibility of relocations, now rests underground. The city had been built, and the dangers are avoided. The Earth, once orbiting the giant planet, now rests as a giant icy planet, ready to wake up again at any time. Everything is safe, and everyone is happy; it's just a matter of time before the new rise of humanity.
In an evening, Dr. Evans Astrum and Dr. Ethan Foster are walking just outside the city wall, strolling along the wide field of newly planted crops. The crops resemble rice-like plants but with slightly bigger and multicolored grains, looking like a field of treasures. They used to have problems with lighting and visuals, but after creating filtered lenses to adjust visions, now everyone can see as good as, if not better than, on Earth. Just the sky is a bit more purple instead of blue, showing that humanity will adapt to this world as well as the natives in a matter of time. Advanced technologies offer various types of weaponry for self-defense.
"Ethan, two years ago, we were in our station forgetting the meaning of dangers, but now we are on a giant planet. I still feel a bit strange, especially with the 18 times longer days. I hope we will get used to it soon."
"Just hope that you don't die before getting used to this place, ahaha."
"I won't die before you get married to a native girl; they seem cute in battle footages, aren't they?"
"They look almost the same as us, but they surely will smash us if we mess with them."
Suddenly, the roaring sound of a beast interrupts their conversation.
"What is that sound?"
"Let's get back."
The two instantly rush toward the city because no beings or animals on this planet had been observed yet, and an unknown beast can pose great dangers.
But it seems that two scientists in their mid-50s are not fast enough to outrun the dangers of the unknown planet.
Many strange skeletons of beasts surround Dr. Evans and Dr. Ethan Foster. They look at each other and then back at the city. There are a few groups of members with Electraspark Mark4s, capable of firing electrical shells, which are the most energy-efficient handheld weapons currently available.
The groups of members from the city are as terrified as Dr. Evans and Dr. Ethan. The skeletal beasts, which look like they got up straight from the underground, surround the two but none of them start attacking.
In the city, alarmed members quickly gather near the city wall, and a few of them walk out slowly with caution. As soon as those few people walk out, around forty more skeletal beasts come crawling from the ground. With a loud roar, an even bigger skeletal beast comes out slowly from the nearby woods, a black figure with a robe sitting on the head of the skeletal beast.
A soft and charming but dry and hard voice of a lady rings in the air. The voice is from the lady in the black robe, but no one can understand what she is saying.
The girl seems to be a native, and everyone is confused, standing in place, not knowing what the mysterious girl wants to say.
The girl's face is covered with the shadow from the hood and cannot be seen by anyone. The girl also seems to be confused. Skeletal beasts surrounding Dr. Evans and Dr. Ethan move to the side quietly as the bigger beast and the mysterious girl slowly come toward Dr. Evans and Dr. Ethan. Dr. Evans thinks he can almost feel the beasts are breathing, even though they are just bones.
The girl keeps talking again once in a few minutes, but no one can understand what the girl is saying. The girl also seems to know that they cannot understand what she means.
Unfortunately, Dr. Evans's watch makes a beeping sound, telling it's time to go back inside the city and have dinner.
The girl frowns because of the noise from Dr. Evans's watch and speaks something before Dr. Evans has a chance to even do something. The beasts surround again and slowly walk toward the two.
"B****."
Together with Serena Astrum's sound, a ray of blue light flies from the city toward the mysterious girl.
"Serena, that little girl..."
Dr. Ethan is surprised and panicked at the same time. Attacking the mysterious girl could bring unwanted dangers to the city. But now it's too late to apologize.
The Mysterious Girl sees the blue ray of light, which is as fast as lightning, and swiftly waves her hand. A staff appears in front of the girl as she grabs the staff to tank the incoming ray of light. But the high current electrical voltage quickly flows through the girl's body from the staff. The electrical current is strong enough to take down any beings on the planet Earth and even trembles the beast on which the mysterious girl is sitting.
But the girl quickly regains her balance and swiftly stands up on the beast. Her robe is loosened, and dark hair sways with the air, and her deep black eyes are brightened. The mysterious girl is unfazed.
The beasts charge forward almost instantly, and hundreds of members let all the projectiles fly. Many electrical rays hit the skeletal beasts, and the smell of burning bones fills the air.
Another figure in a black robe appears and raises his palm. A skeletal hand-shaped boulder appears in front of the mysterious girl. The girl and the figure in the black robe quickly move away from the city with the protection of the skeletal hand-shaped boulder, seemingly sticking out from the ground itself.
Even after some of the bones burn down, the beasts quickly follow the girl and disappear into the forest.
