Calling her and messaging her became a normal thing for him and Lena became comfortable with him, she would always smile after seeing his call and after talking to him.
Aidan became happy and it was showing on his face and performance
Aidan will call her after his shows and tell her everything and she in between will be asking him about his health, whether he's tired or not to have you eaten and when will you eat and every time she did that he became happy
But the universe didn't want to see him happy
During their performance, a news broke up that he has been mistreating one of his band members and after the news Lena became worried she called him for the first time, usually it was him who calls her. She called him severally but he couldn't answer So she head to where he was but she was too late just after their performance and after coming out a group of people started throwing rotten fruits at him as he was escorted out of there, Lena continued calling him but he didn't answer
Him and his members to avoid the matter escalating, their agency confined them for a while
"Who did this? Manager said as he showed his displeasure
"Aidan calm down I am sure about a week time this will pass" one of the members whom the public accused of mistreating said
"Calm down?, calm down?!! You're not the one getting hit with those things. Have I ever treated anyone of you bad, have I ever interfered in anything you do? Why is it always me they're blaming for everything that happens to you? I am human too, I also get hurt, I get tired too. Ever since we formed this group I not for once has taken any decision concerning this group, I have never disrespected anyone of you even though you guys do at times, I have taken everything thrown at me and I think that was a mistake, you see me as useless too and it shows in the way you behaves towards me, I am so tired of your fans disrespecting me " he said and picked his keys
"I will see you in a week time after all that's how it has always been right?" He said to them and left
When he got home he went to shower because he was smelling, under the showers his tears mixed with the water,
After taking a shower he received a call from his mom
"You stupid boy, what have you done now? Why would you mistreat your members? Have you forgotten they do all the work while you get paid, you useless boy you better arrange a press conference and apologize " his mom said as he listened on and on to her criticisms and awful remarks until she was done and cut off the call when he wasn't responding
Out of habit, he went to read all those comments under his posts and on most of the media's posts and they were really nasty with their comments and tweets about him
"Till when" he asked
Just then he received a call from Lena
"Hey how are you? I am sorry I wasn't able to help you, I can't believe someone spread such lies....,…..I hope you are ok" she said at a go when he picked, he smiled and said
"Thank you "
After her words of encouragement and her constant asking of how he was he felt a little better. When the call hanged up he checked his call logs and realized Lena called him seconds after the news broke out and consistently did till he picked feeling warm and glad he took her contact, he called her again and said
"Lena can you come to my house I feel so alone " he asked and she agreed, he gave her his address and she came there with her mask on
When he saw her, he hugged her and they stayed there for a while
"You still brought your mask with you " he asked and she laughed but he was ok what was important was that she was here
"What do you have here?" He asked her
"Yh I brought you food to eat" she said and he walked her inside his house
"Can I use your kitchen?" She asked and he agreed, she served him and watched him eat, after eating she did everything to cheer him up and it worked he was smiling nonstop that it got late
"Thank you for your presence, today had been hard but thank you for making me forget" he said and she smiled
"Forget the things they say about you they're unlucky not to see the beautiful person you are, I know you are an amazing person and a gem . Don't let their words get to you, they're just people who have nothing better to do if I had fast fingers I would have replied all those who says trash about you and put them in their place. If you ever feel the world is against you turn back and you'll see me behind you giving you cheers and cheering you on" she said and he smiled
"Thank you " he said softly
"Ok then I have to go " she said and upon reaching the door he grabbed her hand and asked her not to go
"I won't be able to sleep " he said and she said ok she was going to wait till he fell asleep so she can leave, watching him laid on his bed she watched him but she was too tired that she fell asleep, he placed her by his side on the bed he had the opportunity to see her face but he didn't, he respected her privacy
He pulled her into his arms and snapped a picture of them together with his head in between her neck he knew that this was against her privacy as well but he needed this, a reminder of the peace she gives him.
"How's she breathing in that" he asked concerning the mask
"Taking a pic of us is enough for today, she has a reason for the mask and when she wants to she'll let me see her face but for now let's respect her decision " he said
He with his eyes closed and true to that pulled her mask away from her nose so she could breathe and he went back to sleep behind her
