Peter Brown carefully contemplated his situation. He had come to hone his skills, and this position was important to him; if he couldn't overcome this hurdle, there would be a problem with his self-improvement on a spiritual level, one he definitely could not afford to fail.
He was now a permanent employee and could not be let go as easily as temporary workers were in the past. As long as he didn't deeply offend someone, chances were slim they'd do anything drastic to him. Even if Christian Greenhill and Vincent Clinton truly rose to power, they likely wouldn't just dismiss him immediately; at most, he would be put on standby or laid off.
Of course, this was not the outcome Peter Brown wished to see. He was still looking to climb even higher.
