There were still quite a few practitioners of traditional Chinese medicine in the hospital, and upon hearing that there would be an examination for Peter Brown, they each turned up, with several old doctors looking at Peter with scrutinizing eyes. In their minds, this young man couldn't possibly possess very advanced medical skills—it must just be a stroke of luck.
Hospital Director Green took this matter very seriously and said to Peter, "Whatever instruments or equipment you need, just say the word, and I'll have them prepared for you."
Peter smiled and replied, "Some silver needles will do. Apart from that, I just need the cooperation of the folks in the pharmacy."
"Don't you need instruments like a stethoscope?" a young doctor asked.
