After stepping out, Peter Brown realized he lived in a slum, where trash was everywhere, and the houses were all dilapidated. His rented room was a small, plain, and particularly run-down house.
What a miserable life!
He hadn't expected that his counterpart in the Parallel World would live such a wretched existence, leaving Peter at a loss for words.
As he walked down the street, Peter observed that life here wasn't much different from Earth, with bustling traffic and the hustle and bustle of city life.
Now that he didn't have a viable way to survive and was no longer a high and mighty cultivator, he could only progress one step at a time.
Peter headed towards the hospital.
The hospital where Peter worked was a major provincial hospital. As soon as he entered, he was met with a busy scene, crowded with people who seemed to be out shopping. The hospital was like a vegetable market.
