"Madam," just then, Peter heard the servants speaking in unison.
Upon looking up, he saw Raina Carter coming over, accompanied by two maids.
"Ah, it's Raina."
Peter did not stand up and greeted the approaching beauty casually.
"Did Benjamin and the others come to discuss the resource war?" Raina's demeanor was very cold.
Seeing this, Peter thought to himself that if he weren't worried about exposing himself, he wouldn't even bother with her. No matter how gorgeous, he'd seen plenty of beautiful women before.
Although thinking this, Peter still nodded and said, "Indeed, I hadn't expected the resource war to have already begun."
Raina looked him over again and again, wondering what was different about her nominal husband today, not attempting to ingratiate himself with her as usual.
At this, Raina became somewhat curious.
"I, too, will be participating this time. I guess we will not be able to stick together, much less be in a position to protect you."
