Peter quickly put the matter of his neighbor aside, as the exam was a big deal, and he didn't want to lose face because he didn't do well.
The next day was a full day of exams, covering several major subjects, and the entire day was arranged. This was a school-wide baseline exam, and the school leadership must have taken it very seriously.
Peter was now sitting alone at a table, and as soon as he sat down, everyone's eyes were on him. Many of the students had sources of information and knew about the events of the previous day. Peter had made a bet with Christopher Williams, saying that he would rank first. Christopher said that if Peter ranked in the top 50, it would be his win, and some people even said that if Christopher lost, he would have to fry a fish on his palm.
