After discussing events on Earth with his family, Raven Walter asked, "I didn't expect the starlight cannon to be so powerful. Why were we unaffected?"
"You old geezer, are you wishing we were affected?"
"I'm just asking," Raven Walter replied awkwardly.
Gael Evans asked, "Peter, what are your thoughts? Share with us."
"I have an idea. The development of the biochemical civilization is probably inevitable. After all, most people don't possess spiritual roots, so they can't cultivate."
Raven Walter said, "Exactly, not only can't those without spiritual roots cultivate, but even those with spiritual roots - unless their roots are exceptionally good - do not stand a chance at achieving immortality. I personally have never thought about becoming immortal. Cultivation has just extended my lifespan. To be honest, Peter, as long as one is free from diseases, living a few hundred years more, would be pretty much enough."
