Jody Jones, after hearing about Peter Brown's intention to contract the barren hills, became excited. This was no small matter. On the spot, Jody said to Peter, "How about this: I'll immediately call a village assembly to discuss the matter. If you're not busy, you can rest at my house."
He was really worried that Peter's idea was just a whim.
Peter slightly smiled and said, "Alright, I'll wait for a day. I will also go up the mountain to look around and get a feel for the situation here."
Jody immediately rang the village's bell.
After the villagers had arrived one after another, Jody announced loudly, "The meeting will begin now. There's a matter we need to discuss with everyone. A boss wants to come to our village to contract the land for cultivation. The proposed contracting locations are the eastern area near the river and the hill. There are probably around 3,000 mu in total."
