Seeing Ahmad Carter's puzzled expression, Peter Brown said: "There are many aspects to traditional Chinese medicine. In fact, inside Chinese medicine, there are the interactions of the Five Elements – something every medical student knows."
Ahmad Carter nodded and said, "That's true."
Peter continued: "Actually, when diagnosing illnesses, besides learning from our studies, there are some things that medicine alone cannot solve. Why is it that some people don't see any effect after taking so much medicine? Is it because we're using the wrong medicine? Some patients relapse after taking medicine for just a few days. What's the reason for that?"
Ahmad Carter hadn't really thought about this issue, so he just nodded slightly and started to ponder.
"Please, sit down," Ahmad Carter said to Peter, no longer underestimating him, and motioned for him to sit down.
Peter didn't stand on ceremony, and sat down.
