Just then, Peter Brown's cell phone suddenly rang.
The ringing startled Peter, who quickly pulled away from Helen's embrace.
"Peter, I'll be there in about ten minutes to pick you up and take you to the county. My dad needs your help," Reuben Taylor said bluntly, without any pleasantries.
"Help?"
"No time now. We'll talk when we meet. Get ready, and come when my car arrives."
After hanging up the phone, Peter was a little confused.
"Peter, do you have something to do?" Helen looked at Peter.
It was only then that Peter reacted and said to Helen, "Alright, let's just say that. I have something to do, and I think I'll have to go to the town for a few days. You take care of your own affairs."
Helen just nodded.
Watching Helen walk towards the mountains, Peter collected himself and went towards his own house.
