It was the deep of night and no one was around. The three of them had no important belongings with them. Peter spotted Helen's dress on the ground, picked it up and handed it to her.
Helen quickly put on her dress, no longer daring to look at Peter.
"He is okay now. Pray tell, what's going on?" Peter asked, his curiosity piqued.
Helen stuttered as she disclosed the entire situation. Her family was poor, which Roshan Evans had taken advantage of. He had convinced his son to propose to Helen's family, but after the marriage, they had discovered that Roshan's son, who worked in another part of the country, was impotent. The Evans family kept this a secret, with Roshan intending to father the child himself. Helen vehemently refused upon discovering this, and the father and son duo began threatening and enticing her. Helen fled to this place tonight to escape from the Evans family, but Roshan had secretly followed her and attempted to assault her.
